Belle magazine feature - Ocean Grove Residence

What an incredible honour to be published in Belle Magazine this month featuring a truly special project; Ocean Grove residence which is also now up live on my website.

The architecture and interiors are by Kennedy Nolan , designers who I have long admired in the industry, and all furniture, art and object are sourced and styled by me.

The overall look and brief of the home was to achieve an eclectic personality that complimented and reflected the architecture, as well as the owners and their appreciation for design.

They spend a lot of weekends and holidays in the home, so it was important that it felt like a calm sanctuary for them away from the city but also not feel like a hotel.  They have such a great sense of style being designers in their own industry so that certainly informed how bold I could be with my selections, they were really trusting in the process and gave me a lot of creative freedom!

It was important that the furniture, artwork, lighting and objects instilled a sense of narrative, that they balanced function with beautiful qualities that tell the story of the clients and how they live. In unity, they create a home with elements that can be built upon over time, adding layers as memories are made and travels ventured.

The story can be read online if you have an online subscription or by magazine.

FIVE MINUTES WITH....Meanwhile In Melbourne

I met Manuela, the founder of Meanwhile In Melbourne, a few years ago at Cult Design where she was a part time sales assistant while also studying and working in a major Interior and Architecture practice in Melbourne. I was blown away by her passion and enthusiasm for design and her commitment to studying while working two jobs at such a young age! She's just the sweetest and bubbliest of people you will meet and incredibly supportive of local design which does not go unappreciated. I feel very humbled to be included in her "five minutes with..." interview section on her blog. Check it out here.

Check out her instagram account which is always filled with beautiful images. @meanwhile_in_melbourne

Gracias Manuela.

Introducing ni.ni.creative

I am very excited to announce that I have joined forces with my good friend and product designer Nick Rennie to launch ni.ni.creative; a range of locally designed products from furniture to accessories.

We have collaborated on a couple of things in the past and are always bouncing design ideas off each other, so it only seemed a natural progression to start our own little business!

Our first range include leather handbags and cushions that are locally designed/made.

Please check us out here to see what products are currently available!
